ROBIN PAGE and PETRINA HOLDSWORTH lead UKFP
At a recent meeting of the UKFP Robin Page was confirmed as the new leader of UKF and Petrina Holdsworth was appointed as Chairman.
Robin Page said: “I am not a politician by nature but I feel that a stand must be made by those of us who live and work in the real world outside the "Westminster village." UKF is the only party addressing the real issues and the only party not tainted by an assortment of scandals. We are a party neither left, right nor centre, we are a party based on common sense and honesty.
We are appalled by the huge amount of money gives to the EU each year.
We are appalled at the rate of immigration to Britain – already the fourth most densely country in the world – this is an environmental issue, not a racial issue.
We are appalled by the corruption to be found both inside and outside Parliament.
We are appalled at the way in which our democracy has been hijacked by the political elite.
We want to give freedom and democracy back to the people where they belong and that freedom lies outside the undemocratic superstate of the EU.
We are appalled at the way in which other sleaze-fuelled political parties have let the people down; we want to give people a party that is on their side”.
Petrina Holdsworth, former Chairman of UKIP says:
Many of us in our country are unhapppy about the current state of affairs in Britain. We are disillusioned with the three main parties and concerned by some aspects of the policies and attitudes of the better known "fringe parties ".
We hope to build up a party which is in tune with the hopes and aspirations of the majority of voters who want to live in a country which is governed in a reasonable ,competent fashion by their own democratically elected government.A government which is unfettered by the straight-jacket of Eurofederalism.
To do this we need to form a team of people from all walks of life who are committed to making our shared vision of a better life happen. It is my job to help that team to form and I hope that all those people of goodwill who want the same as us will contact us and give us some of their valuable time and expertise whatever it may be.
If the British people do not demand a better ,more democratic future for themselves they will certainly get the government that they deserve.
Robin Page is a writer, journalist, farmer and conservationist. He has a regular column in The Daily Telegraph, The Countryman, and the Shooting Times (although he does not shoot). He also contributes regularly to the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday. He has written thirty-two books. His latest – “The Revolting Peasant” will be published in November. He hopes to remain leader of UKF long enough to see it established as a strong, mainstream, popular party driven by honesty and vision – not sleaze and expediency. Until he resigned because of Prescott ’s attack on free speech through the “English Standards Board”, Robin Page had been an independent District Councillor for over thirty years. At the European elections he stood as lead candidate for the East of England and took an astonishing 38,000 votes. He was sacked from presenting “One Man and His Dog” by the BBC for his”other activities” (anti- Europe and supporting the countryside) and after a successful appearance on “Question Time” he has since been banned from the programme.
Petrina Holdsworth is a retired laywer who has been involved with the eurosceptic movement for over 10 years. She too has been on Question Time but to the best of her knowledge she has not been banned.
